Symptoms:

Abnormal large amount posted due to entering scanned bar code as Quantity

Migration:

Inventory Side

Warehouse management parameters >>> General >>> mobile device >>> Scanned Quantity Limit.

  • Update InventTrans with the right values.  Both Quantity and CostAmountPhysical.
  • Write it into an X++ job for moving to Production
  • Run a Consistency check for On-Hand for the items
    This should update InventSum based on our changes

Financial Side

  • Need to post General Journals to correct these amounts.
  • Or update Amount fields of GeneralJournalAccountEntry and GeneralJournalAccountEntry
  • since large number might cause journal imbalanced like the following
  • Run Consistency check >>> Ledger Transaction >>> Fix
  • Financial Dimension Sets >>> Rebuild Balance
